Darul Quran Houston is dedicated to spreading the light of the Qur’an and Sunnah in our local community. Our mission is to provide authentic Islamic education, prayer services, and spiritual development for all ages — a center for knowledge, community bonding, and religious growth in Houston.
Our Foundation
The Four Purposes
All praise be to Allah, and Salat and Salam be upon Rasulullah ﷺ. Allah Ta‘ala sent Rasulullah ﷺ to all mankind with four fundamental purposes:
- Tilawat — reciting the Book of Allah to them.
- Taleem — teaching them His Book.
- Taleem — teaching them the Hikmah and Sunnah.
- Tazkiyah — beautifying them with good ethics and purifying them from evils.
Deeni education, together with inner and outer purification, is a fundamental need for individuals of all ages in all circumstances.
Our Roots
A Project of Madrasah Islamiah
Darul Quran Houston is a sub-organization of Madrasah Islamiah (opens in a new tab) , under the supervision of Hafiz Muhammad Iqbal.
Together we are building the first Islamic boarding school in Houston and Texas — a center for knowledge, community bonding, and religious growth for generations to come.
